Since founding 1st Light Energy in 2004, Justin Krum has taken the company from a start-up to an operation that installs solar energy systems from coast to coast. After finding success in his home state of California, Krum engaged in a planned expansion and now oversees operations in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. He has also negotiated and secured strategic partnerships with a number of notable companies including The Home Depot and BP Solar.

Before founding 1st Light Energy, Krum has held a variety of positions in the construction and alternative energy industries including those with JK Enterprises, RJ Murdoch Construction and Power Independence Energy.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Krum-who takes great passion in his family, faith, sports and the environment-gives back to organizations that support his passion, and has been active in the community with organizations like the LDS Church and the Boy Scouts. Krum has also served as a junior varsity baseball coach and men's youth leader.
